Spiral steel pipe stacking principles
Spiral steel pipe stacking principles

Spiral steel pipe is a spiral seam seamless steel pipe made of hot-rolled strip steel and cold-rolled coils as raw materials, extruded at normal temperature, and electric welded with a fully automatic double-wire double-sided arc welding process. Using the advanced double-sided arc welding process, welding can be completed at the optimal position without defects such as misalignment, welding deflection, and lack of penetration, making it easy to control the welding quality.

The following introduces the stacking principles of spiral steel pipes.

1. The standard requirements for stacking spiral steel pipes are to ensure that they are stacked according to type and size to ensure firm stacking and safety. Different types of materials should be stacked separately to avoid confusion and mutual corrosion.

2. It is prohibited to store objects that have a deposition effect on stainless steel plates around the spiral steel pipe stack.

3. The bottom of the spiral steel pipe stack should be raised, firm, and leveled to prevent the raw materials from getting wet or deformed;

4. The same raw materials are stacked separately according to the order in which they are entered into the warehouse.

5. There should be wooden mats or stones underneath for spiral steel pipe channels stacked outdoors. The stacking surface is slightly tilted to facilitate drainage. Pay attention to placing the materials upright to avoid bending and deformation.

6. Spiral steel pipe stacking height and width for comparison, the manpower course shall not exceed 1.1m, the mechanical equipment course shall not exceed 1.5m, and the stack width shall not exceed 2.5m.

7. A certain channel should be left between stacks. The inspection channel is generally 0.5m. The access channel depends on the size of the raw materials and the conveying machinery and is generally 1.5~2.0m.

8. The angle irons and steel bars piled up outdoors should be placed horizontally, that is, the mouth is facing down, and the I-shaped steel should be placed vertically. The I-groove surface of the stainless steel plate should not be facing upward to prevent water corrosion.

9. The height of the stacking mats. If the warehouse is on the concrete floor, it can be raised by 0.1 meters; if it is a dirt road, it must be raised by 0.2 to 0.5 meters. If it is an outdoor place, the concrete floor should be raised by 0.3 to 0.5m, and the sand and mud surface should be raised by 0.5 to 0.4m.
